Writing the last piece just made me think back to Gustavus. The text messaging idea so depends on the ASSUMPTION that everyone will have a mobile device with them. No class I can think of had anyone with a cell phone and probably not with a laptop. In 15 years, cellular phones have gone from nothing to an assumption. Am I really that old?

Actually, you and I ARE that old. Consider this: a person born in 1990 is not only driving and working, they COULD be 18 years old right now.

You think you're old? I've got a high school classmate who RETIRED from the Navy last year. If that doesn't make you feel old...
Oh, and on the topic of technology taking over the generation, Briannon (at age nearly 3) is firmly of the opinion that anything that doesn't work, whether electronic or not, just needs more batteries. :)
